My name is Julia Headland and I have been a Registered Nurse (RGN) for 13 years and more recently, a Registered Health Visitor (RHV) and BSc (Hons) in Community Nursing Specialist Practice.
I am also a Registered Nurse Prescriber. As well as practising as an independent private health visitor, I also work part time for the NHS. I am married and have a son.
I have had a varied and interesting working life a side from working in the NHS as a Nurse and Health Visitor I have also spent time in the corporate world- 5 years working in pharmaceuticals and 2 years in a healthcare company. During this time, I gave birth to my son and returned to work after 7 months and as a result of this; I know first hand the challenges facing new mums when they go back to work. It is because of this that I have a special interest in helping families to regain their life/family/ work balance back. My other interests are feeding, formulating routines for the baby and post natal depression.
My aim as a Private Health Visitor is to provide practical, non judgemental support and advice to new parents and guide you through the decisions that you have made about your baby.
I am a member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and am both fully insured and CRB checked.
